Dental

Proper dental insurance is a source of concern for many Expatriates. Most companies do not include dental cover in the insurance plans offered to their employees, and even when such cover is offered, it is normally limited in the protection that it can offer.
Dental costs are extremely high in most countries and many expatriate employees do not receive dental cover from their company medical plans. If dental cover is provided it is usually well below the level and standard of care you are used to in your home country. Dental care is generally costly in most countries and if you have bad teeth, insuring against the cost of dental treatment can be very beneficial.

Most International Health Insurances cover Emergency Dental treatment due to an Accident. However the Routine Dental treatment is usually covered in the Top plan.

Most insurers offer two levels of dental coverage:
Routine Dental Treatment which includes:
• Examinations
• Fillings
• Cleaning
• Root Treatment
• Extraction
• Surgery
• Emergency Dental Treatment
• X-rays
• Local anesthesia
• Prescription
• Occlusion bar
Special Dental Treatment which covers almost all dental problems, including but not limited to:
• Tooth Adjustment
• Bridgework
• Treatment of Periondontitis
• Treatment of Gingivitis
• Root Scaling and Membrane Treatment
• Gold jackets, Porcelain Crowns, Temporary Crowns
• Repairs including Build-Up and Recementation
• Dentures
• Dentures and Repairs

Some insurers apply a waiting period Dental Treatment, and the insurers usually apply Co Insurance for Dental Benefits.
